We are blogging from state side for the next two months. I am so excited to be in a different location to capture my kids along their many adventures here doing childhood things that we all did growing up and share them with all of you. We have only been here six days and already I can see the huge difference in Buba and Missy Moo. They are experienced travellers now. lol Well, Buba always has been as he has made the long 26 hour journey many times but it was a first for Missy Moo.
“YOU ARE THE BOWS FROM YOUR CHILDREN AS LIVING ARROWS”

Buba you have come alive with so much space to run free and play in the pool at Gramma & Papa’s house. I have never seen you so happy and excited everyday to run out and jump in the pool, play on the jungle gym, or squirt water guns in your own face. You are a true outdoors kind of boy and I love it. I love that each day is nice enough for me to let you run wild and explore. You have found new bugs to poke and play with and new adventures to seek out in the woods, even spotting a deer along the way which made you squeal with happiness. Papa builds old fashion cars to your utter amazement. It truly seems like your heaven here at your grandparents. You are inseparable with your Papa, wanting to follow him everywhere and your always want Gramma to read you your bedtime story instead of mommy to her joy and my sadness. You will be 3 so soon and I can’t believe how fast you have grown up in the last few weeks.

Missy Moo you have turned into a diva. I can no longer blame the jetlag or the unfamiliar territory. You shout and shriek until you get your way, which I rarely let you so you are being heard more than ever before. I miss my calm and relaxed baby but I know you are just trying to figure out new things. You have almost mastered the walking. I have noticed you have become sensitive lately too. The littlest things cause your bottom lip sticking out. I love you so very much but I hope this is just a quick phase. Either way, you are still that smiley baby that is laughing and showing off her teeth constantly. You are curious in Gramma & Papa’s house but have been good not to break the breakables or harm yourself on the less than baby proof accessories. You are a good listener though, when I tell you no, don’t touch, you point at it and then move away. I am so proud of you for that. Your voice has changed again. It’s definitely no longer a baby voice and turning into a toddler voice. I have a feeling you will be chatting soon too. Papa thinks your first word should be “papa” of course. We shall see.

Together you both are being spoiled rotten here in the states. Gramma and Papa have set up this massive pool for you both with two slides and climbing frame attached. It looks like a mini disneyland here. Both of your eyes lit up when we first got there and you both saw it. I was surprised how much you both love the water and never want to get out of it. We will be spending a lot of time in it I assume over the next two months. We have been on so many flights and so many adventures in the last week and with jet lag you both have been absolutely amazing. Naptime and sleeping routines stayed in tact somehow even with an eight hour time difference. You both are little travellers just like your Momma.
Just love that first water picture of Buba. Fabulous.
I always forget about putting out the paddling pool because our garden tap is on the lodger’s side of the garden. Definitely need to get the hose over our side once the weather improves again
What an amazing picture of Buba, I’m quite excited to see your living arrows photos over the summer as you are in a new stunning location! It must be so sweet to see them spending time with your parents x
Oh these shots are amazing, the first one is particularly so. Sunshine, kiddies and water is a perfect combo 🙂
Can’t beat it. That’s for sure. It’s so hot here. Lots of outdoor water photos to come.
Oh I love the water shots – it just seems to perfectly sum up summer whatever side of the Atlantic you happen to be on – on which point 26 HOURS!!! Wow! That is some serious travelling, well done all of you for making it intact!
I think I may have lost a few limbs but we made it. Lol it’s far for sure. Thanks it’s my favorite photo so far.
These photos totally sum up childhood and summer Jenny, especially the one of Bubba. Just beautiful. x
Thank you so much. It’s one of my favorites as we played with water guns all the time growing up and not only squirting others but ourselves too. So funny. He was loving it. Thanks for the lovely comment.
