Buba, I don’t even know how to describe how much you have come out of your shell here in America. I don’t know if its all the family around or if you are just getting more confident with others but you have truly blossomed. You aren’t the skittish little boy that won’t talk to anyone but us. You socialize and chatter with everyone about all the adventures we have been going on lately. You are taking full advantage of all the space you have here to run around and play. Swimming daily and playing sports with your cousins has really turned you into a proper little boy. I have enjoyed watching your changes over the last few weeks so much. Your speech is amazing now too. You can say and understand so much more now. You have become a great observer too.  You take in your surroundings and you have full conversations with us of what you saw. Your story telling skills are developing and I love hearing what you come up with at bedtime. I think we just might have to move here as your tantrums have taken a backseat and you have been so happy and pleasant for weeks now. It’s been a truly amazing family vacation with you!

Missy Moo, you are walking now! I can’t believe it. You have taken your first steps in the same place your brother took his first footsteps which has made this place that much more special and memorable to us. You haven’t fully got the hang of it but you have showed such great determination to master it and I love that you never give up. Your speech is also coming along. You now chatter, “Momma”, “Dada”, and today you shouted out your brother’s name. I am amazed how fast you are growing up before my very eyes. I don’t remember Buba’s milestones coming on so fast. Your hair is growing fast, making you look even more older. You have lost a bit of baby chub because you are constantly on the go now. We have only been here three weeks and I could sit here all day and list all the ways you have changed. You have definitely found your voice too, that diva screeching has to go. Mommy isn’t too keen and you are not too keen that you get disciplined because of it but that is all a part of growing up. I find it hard to discipline that adorable face of yours especially when you snuggle right up under my chin. I hope you never stop doing that though, the snuggling under my chin. It’s the best feeling in the whole world!

I can’t get over how much you both look alike and as the age gap gets smaller and smaller I feel more like I have twins. As always I go on and on about you both loving each other so much, being so close and that is still true. But along side your love for each other I can definitely see jealousy, frustration, and testiness growing too. Buba you are confused that Missy Moo can climb and walk now. This causes you to pull her back down and her to screech and wave her arms at you in frustration. Buba you also like to get too snuggly and kissy and Missy Moo you like your space so this really gets you mad. There is jealous creeping in now too. If I am playing or holding one of you the other one shouts for my attention. It’s again part of growing up and I am fully prepared for more of it but at the same time it is funny to me as I still can remember being like this with my siblings and my own mother.  You both continue to amaze me and bring me such happiness and joy in life I will never stop being forever grateful to have you both in my life.

  1. Ahh they are so cute! I have really enjoyed it since Tiger started walking, it’s meant it’s like having two kids now instead of a child and a baby. My two have been playing together so well since he started too. So love to hear Buba has come out of himself since you’ve been there, he looks so happy in these photos! x

  2. Adorable photos. And it’s such a lovely write up you do each week to go with the photos to them. Will be something they’ll be able to read back when they’re older.

    • Thanks Sarah, Missy Moo’s outfit is from a french boutique. I got it right after I found out I was having a girl and bought it for this holiday knowing she would be in about 18 month size by now. glad I calculated just right as it’s one of my favorites. I love french clothes for kids. Being home for the summer in America has been absolutely amazing. It sure is going to be be the toughest thing ever going back to the UK.

  4. Love this, they both looked so chilled, your family home is definitely agreeing with them. I can relate to the diva screeching… Piercing isn’t it?! Sadly at two and a half we’re still trying to put a full stop on it… 🙂
