Love the little things #12

Last updated on March 4th, 2024 at 08:15 pm

Life flies past us quick as lightening, make sure to take time to cherish the small things in life too. Here I share with you my little ordinary loves this week!

Read

These past few weeks I have read so many great blogs as part of a campaign to get to know more bloggers and their lovely blogs, I started my first official linky, called Share With Me. It has given me the opportunity to read so many great posts every week. Blogs like SeychellesMama, WryMummy, Suggys, FarmersWifeandMummy, Lifeatthelittlewood and Notmyyearoff have become some of my new favorites to read.

Watch

The Big Bang Theory – if you haven’t seen this US comedy already, check it out. If you like silly funny, you will enjoy this, even my parents like it!

Wore

I went to a friend’s wedding last weekend and picked up this gorgeous teal dress from Darling for it.  I am going to give it a double feature and wear it to the races in June too. What do you think?

Heard

Cole swindell – Chillin’ It

I am loving this song and video this week, it’s been playing in my house all day today. See more of my country playlist under my Music To My Ears.

Made

This week I made delicious Bacon Chicken Casserole for the whole family, even Missy Moo gummed her way through it. Click on the picture below for the recipe.

And lastly…

Mr. P. and I had our first night away together from the kids over night. I was nervous at first but once I knew the kids were in bed and sound  asleep we danced and drank the night away like old times. It felt good to be Jenny again instead of just Mommy.

Linking up with the fabulous Morgana and the lovely Katie for the small things we love in life are the ordinary but so worth the recognition.

    • Thank you lovely. It was so much fun to have Mr P all to myself. I heard that me and you are posted on the wall in the guys office! Tell J to take a picture so we can see. Everyone I guess was talking about it. haha The bacon chicken casserole came out great. I like it because I can throw whatever is in the fridge ham, corn, peas, broccoli, beef, chicken …literally do anything with it. Taste good cold too. Family loves it.

  1. Your dress is so pretty Jenny – what a stunner! And I am absolutely making that pasta – I think it would be a hit, even in my extremely food-fussy household! Gorgeous pic of you and Mr P – time together is so important, we all need a little mini-moon from time to time! And thankyou so very much for the little mention too. Massive hugs xxx

    • Ahhh thanks hun I wouldn’t say stunner, you are too nice. It felt good to get pretty for once. Of course I love your blog it’s worth a mention or twelve. lol We had a lovely time thank you. The pasta is definitely a family hit and it’s so versatile. Don’t have bacon use ham, or even beef instead of chicken. Throw corn in if you don’t like peas or even broccoli. I usually use whatever is in my fridge.

    • Thank you so much Nicole. I am glad you are enjoying it. I was so petrified to start a blog. I wrote a book a few years ago, and I was dying to start a blog but couldn’t get up the courage back then, I am so glad I have done it now. It’s really made it easier to live abroad away from all my friends and family. It’s made me new friends and gave me a great support system I didn’t know was there, other bloggers! Hope you had a great weekend! Mine ended in finding my name on the Mad shortlist so it ended fantastic. 😉 Still can’t believe it.

    • Thank you ever so much. That just made my day. Sometimes I feel like I should just delete it all and other days I am so proud of it. It’s a mixture of feelings all the time. Will people read? Will people like? And round and round I go. I am so grateful you are looking around and like what you see. The blogging community is so supportive. I am amazed by all of you.
