Look who is 10 months old already, I can’t believe it. You are growing up so fast, I am scared that the future will go even faster. You are my last baby therefore as you progress from each stage with a new milestone, it is my last time experiencing it too. When Grandma told me that life goes faster after having children, she was not kidding in the slightest. I still feel like it was yesterday when I gave birth to you and brought you home to meet your brother.
I love that even though you are now, 10 months old, you are still very much my baby. Every baby is different, and even your brother was too, at this age. He was big for his age and seem to be more toddler built, early on. Whereas you, my princess, I love that you still nuzzle up to my neck like you did when I first held you against me. I love that you still have your baby chubba as I love to blow raspberries on your belly and tickle those chubba legs. You still roll around, casually on the floor and play with your toesies, which I adore you for keeping your babyness. You still are wobbly when I hold your hands to walk, guided. When you get upset your lip still curls over, and quivers a bit before you cry out. You are in no rush, to walk yet and for me that’s ok because I know when you do decide to do it, than that will be it, you will be off.
You have been really sick this month, first with your first cold than with the chicken pox and now with teething. It is so good to see your smiles only faded a little through it all and are back. You have added fangs to your list of teeth that have come through. My little vampire, you chew EVERYTHING. I catch you gnawing on the side of the couch, eating my decorative pillows, half the time you are chewing my pant legs or pjs while I make something in the kitchen… always at my feet. You chew your clothes, you even try to chew the kitchen tile but end up licking it up instead. I always make sure to have a scarf on while we are out and about because when you get shy in front of strangers the first thing you do is chew it, or suck your thumb and snuggle it. Either way, something is always in that mouth of yours!
You belly laugh now so loud and hard it makes my heart melt and causes a ripple affect in the family. When you laugh, Buba laughs which makes you laugh harder and louder then so does he. It’s the best sound in the whole world. You find the silly things hilarious and still at 10 months old when I wake you from a nap or in the morning, you wake up with a huge smile on your face and a giggle in your belly.
A lot has changed in the last month for you. You crawl faster, blab more, laugh harder and the diva in you has been born! You now know how to throw a good tantrum with your arms waving franticly in the air while you growl and grit your teeth. I hate to break it you lady, I am still the boss of this house. You are slowly learning that the hard way. You are now a little explorer, and crawl from room to room seeing what kind of trouble you can get into. Even when your brother tells on you, and I remove you from what you are not supposed to be doing, you are a determined little soul and go straight back to it. I don’t think you will ever need motivation in life to drive you!
Things don’t seem to scare you as easily as they do your brother. You are more intrigued of new things. I can blend my morning smoothies while you look on with interest and your brother goes and hides under the couch pillows. When the doorbell rings you go straight for the door, taking in the strange noise head on. But the thing that makes you panic the most is if someone else holds you, even if I am still right next to you. You are very aware now that others pick you up, or talk to you and you immediately search for me, grab for me, cry out for me. In a small way, I wish you wouldn’t, I wish you would be brave and social. I wish that others could enjoy your cuddles and love like I get to. But in so many other ways, I love that you need me, want me, and that I am the one you want to comfort you and make you feel secure again. I know this stage will soon pass, too, along with all the others and that it will be the end of a baby era for me. So I try to capture it as best I can, in my mind, in photos, and on here.
You are a calm baby, a happy baby and it has been such a pleasure for us to watch you grow over the last 10 months. Your little personality is really shining through now. I would even go as far as you said you first word, Momma, the other day instead of your usual ba-ba but Daddy thinks otherwise. You have become my little girl and a little baby no more. But know you will always be my baby to me, no matter how old you are!
Happy 10 Months Missy Moo!
May you keep… smiling, laughing, exploring, cuddling, growing, loving, nuzzling, sleeping, crawling, rolling, playing, & more.
Just gorgeous! She is just a couple of weeks older than Jasmin so I loved reading this. Hope her next month sees her illness free, it’s so sad when they are sick. Keep exploring Missy Moo! X
Thank you so much. Ya I thought are kids were close in age. It’s great to relate to each other’s post than. hahaha Thanks for commenting and stopping by. Love your blog and your post are always great to read too.
It’s so lovely to know she still nuzzles into you, Jasper does that now and I never want him to grow out of it! Well maybe when he’s an adult lol
She is absolutely adorable, such a little beauty 🙂 Happy 10 months Missy Moo!
Excited to see next months updates! xx
Thank you so much Jess. Yes I want her to do it forever, Buba never did it even at the beginning. Sadly. So I am soaking it up now. Enjoy every minute Jasper is young! They grow so fast.
She looks so adorable in these photos and what a lovely way to document all her developments – she’ll love reading this as she grows older #magicmoments
I hope so. I am sad that she is almost one and I will only being writing to both of them on their birthdays and half birthdays lol But kids must grow up. The milestones slow down and become far in between after that don’t they? hahahah
I love how you capture everything each month, I wish I had these memories to look back on, you think you will remember it all but you don’t! Glad the illnesses and the pox is behind you now.
Thank you Fiona, I forget everything these days so I wanted a way I can share all the little moments with my kids when they are older and they can read back over all these. Yes chicken pox are finally going away. Buba still has spots on his face but fading fast. Just in time for Missy Moo’s christening party. lol
Happy 10 months Missy Moo, such beautiful pictures x
Thank you! She hadn’t been well for awhile after chicken pox so I am glad her happiness was starting to shine back through to take these.
Ah so lovely Jenny – it really is interesting to note the differences between siblings when you have a second isn’t it? Mine are similar in that the eldest was more nervous of noises, etc, and my youngest is much more nuzzly and cuddly. The laughter is absolutely the best sound in the world! #magicmoments
I completely agree. I have been trying to record the two of them laughing together forever but by time I have enjoyed the moment and grabbed my phone to record they have finished. Your two sound like my two. Wonder if it’s just first child and second child thing. lol
Shes got the cutest smile. Happy 10months to her =) #magicmoments
She is never ten months already Jenny! I don’t believe it. What a beautiful young little bird too! I love the ten months bodysuit you got her! Super cute and that headband…well…Swoon much! x #magicmoments
beautiful round up Jenny, its such a lovely age .. its the time they really start showing their own characters x
Yes they really do, and I was a little late on the post too as she is 11 months next week hahaha so I was glad to record it before she changed again.
