Positive Pregnancy Test? Prepare Yourself For Your New Bundle Of Joy

Positive pregnancy test? Congratulations! After all of the excitement of finding out you’re expecting a new addition to your family, it’s time to think about creating and beginning to check off a list of things to buy and do before your bundle of joy arrives. For most women, the following nine months of pregnancy is all about making sure everything is perfect for your baby, and while you should totally do this, there are a few things you should do for yourself to help prepare for your new baby. I have shared some pregnancy tips below to help you along the way.

Treat yourself to maternity attire

Your body is about to do something magnificent over the next nine months, and you’ll soon begin to notice your baby bump appearing. This may mean you no longer fit into your favourite jeans and need to buy maternity clothing, but that doesn’t mean you have to feel fat and frumpy while doing so! In the near future, all of your spare money will likely be going on baby clothes and everything they need as they grow, so why not treat yourself to some designer maternity attire? Feel and look fabulous while doing the most incredible thing in the world – growing a new life!

Spend time with your children

Babies are so small, but take up lots of time between feeding, changing, and comforting. While you’ll no doubt do your best to spend as much time as you can with your other children, take some time now to soak up as much time as you can with them! Help them become as excited as you are about your new arrival by talking about baby names, guessing the sex of your baby, and you could even get them involved in choosing clothing, prams and everything else For Your Little One. While discussing baby names, think about adding unique and rare names along with the common ones. Exploring uncommon yet beautiful names can be enjoyable, especially for a baby girl. Each rare name has its own story and background that might align with your preferences. Your children will love being involved with decision-making and will begin looking forward to meeting their baby brother or sister even more!

Rest up!

It might sound cliché, but you need to take the time to rest up! And not because soon enough you’ll have a baby waking you all hours of the night (because let’s face it, that’s very likely to happen) but because your body will struggle if you’re constantly stressed or tired. Take care of you and the baby in one fell swoop by making sure you get plenty of rest and you’re eating delicious and nutritious foods!

Go on a date with your loved one

Finally, now is the time to take advantage of one to one time with your partner because soon enough, your baby will be taking up a lot of the time you’d usually spend alone. Arrange date nights and spend the evening together. You could find fun and interesting places to go such as nature walks, the theatre, or you could even take a couples dance class. Babies can put a strain on your relationship because of lack of intimacy, so get it in while you can!

Take time for you (and your family) while your baby is still cooking with these tips and before you know it, you’ll be holding your precious baby in your arms!
