Scarves, school and a Blog birthay #littleloves

Last updated on November 19th, 2023 at 12:24 am

Wow what a first whole week back on UK time its been. I have still be running around with my head cut off getting things ready for B to start school on Monday. I can’t believe it’s the countdown now. The weekend before his big day. He is so ready and counting the “sleeps” too. I hope he loves it as much as I loved school when I was a kid. I pray the school moms will be nice to this expat too. It’s been great following along the hashtag #newschoolkids this week and last for all us new parents that are dealing with this new transition.

I have been doing so much to the house lately every room is half finished being decorated and it’s annoying me. I have little patience for the things I have ordered to put the final touches on things not coming, getting lost in the mail etc. It’s taken me years to final finish decorating the house and I am so excited to share it with you soon.

READ
I haven’t had a moment to spare for any new books since I have been back. But I have been reading a lot of recipe books and staying on my healthy eating path from this summer. It’s great to play with new foods that I thought I would never like. It’s about changing my life habits not dieting. There are so many variations of cookbooks out there. Loving my copy of Eat Nourish Glow, it talks about changing our food choices rather than dieting.

HEARD

WATCHED
I have finished OITNB season three and playing catch up on my recorder with Nashville. I have so many shows from the summer recorded while I was gone I have plenty to keep me busy but this week I also got a chromecast that let’s me have my Netflix off my phone on the tv. Mr P and I snuggled up for a movie last night called Seven Pounds. It was slow start but a good one.

WORE
The kids have been rocking it with style this week with gorgeous accessories from Little + Fierce. B loves his new hat and won’t be taking it off anytime soon. I had to break it to him last night that he can’t sleep in it and they won’t let him wear it to his new school on Monday either. Bless him. I am loving the Rockahula clips for MM as they hold onto her hair so much better than any other clips and are so cute. She had a matching little purse too but insist I had to wear it.

It’s Fall soon and the scarves have been brought out of the closet this week. I am loving a new addition from FatFace for only £10 to my crazy scarf collection. As you can see all in one week it’s been cold enough for scarves and boots and then hot enough for dresses and wedges. I don’t think the weather really knows what it wants to do lately. wore
MADE
The kids and I have been baking up a storm in the kitchen since we got back from the states. We made these lovely pink unicorn cookies along with some tasty lemon sugar cookie pops on a stick. I will be sharing recipes and all the details later in the week but these just came out so cute had to share. You can also get a sneak peak at our cookie pops on my facebook page.

AND LASTLY…

IT’S LTM 2ND BIRTHDAY

Next week is a big deal for Let’s Talk Mommy. My blog turns 2 years old! I know I can’t believe it either. I have enjoyed every minute of this journey so far and I can’t wait to see where it takes me in the next few years. Obviously my blog would be absolutely nothing if you all didn’t read it so to CELEBRATE my 2nd blogiversary I am hosting a giveaway everyday next week. There are some amazing prices in the mix too so keep watch from bags, kitchen gadgets, toys, home decor and more. It’s a week you don’t want to miss, I promise you. I just want to say a huge THANK YOU too.

    • Oh thanks Carie so much. Can’t believe it’s been two years. I am so excited now for the kids starting Monday seems weird that all kids don’t start the same day and go all day like we do back home. Stagger starts are so confusing I think. Oh you will be a pro Carie. lol

    • Thanks it was a tough summer of changing bad habits and reprogramming my brain but now it’s a lot easier to follow and just live a healthier life. Can’t believe I have been blogging for two years in some sense it feels years and years and others I am so new still. Monday squeal (tomo) I am in denial until the bell rings.
