The kids really seem to be growing up fast these last few weeks. Missy Moo is almost walking which is so very exciting not just for her and Mommy, but Buba has been in awe of the whole process. Every time she stands up on something, he is there to reach out and hold her hand to guide her.
He is fascinated by her new abilities and you can tell she is too. Don’t get me wrong, we still have lots of pushing over, pulling, and attempts at sitting on top of his sister. She has finally found her voice and is getting some much deserved pay back. This is reality after all. As much as it seems like I sugar coat it all, we are normal. We have the toddler tantrums that his sister is touching his toys. We have the baby screaming matches to not touch things that she shouldn’t. Both of my kids however amazing and loving they are, they are still normal baby and toddler human beings. Here is a little ring-around-the-rosie with Daddy in the hallway. A sweet moment I heard from the kitchen while cooking and ran to have a peak, capturing the moment. There is nothing better than that sweet sound of laughter in the house. It fills my heart with pure joy.
This month has been so extremely busy and I fear that’s just the start of the summer and how it is going to go until the weather turns cold again. We saw the celebrations of Missy Moo’s Christening & birthday party and Buba’s 3rd birthday is coming up next with a huge trip to the west coast of America for two months. It will be September before we return and the summer will have seemed to have flown by.
I never thought life would get so busy and I think that’s why it flies by so fast. So I am glad that there are moments like this above, to sit back listen and watch my kids play and have fun together. That’s what life is all about the special little moments together!
Jenny, I think you’ve just described pretty much every toddler relationship. I don’t think there’s a single home that doesn’t see the occasional tantrum and bickering. How would the learn to share and get along without them? Cute, cute photos though and Missy Moo looks like she’s almost ready to run 🙂
I think she is finally nearly there. When she does she will be off!! Lol oh yes I was not naive to think it wouldn’t eventually happen. I have 7 siblings myself. I know the reality of siblings all too well! Hahahaha
Lovely post and photos, my two are exactly the same, best friends one minute and screaming and fighting the next 🙂 xx
That’s the life of siblings isn’t it? Lol I have tons of siblings so I know what I have to look forward to. Hahahaha
Aww our’s are similar this month Jenny. Isn’t it wonderful watching them now the babies are nearly walking? LL is so nearly there and Mads is just adorable with her, it’s lovely to see. Gorgeous photos of your pair, and I think that sometimes iPhone photos are best as they truly capture the moment. x
I couldn’t agree more my lovely. They both are so close to walking I love it. Sometimes it’s better to have the iPhone than nothing!! It’s easy to capture great moments fast!!! Hard as they blur when the kids move!! Lol xo
Oh yes siblings – so happy one moment together and then furious at each other the next!
Ya, I am fully prepared for all the stages of siblings to come out in this house. I have seven siblings so I know the score! lol
How exciting that she is almost walking 🙂
I love these photos natural and in the moment xx
Thanks Kelle, I am struggling this week with no wifi so it had to be on my iphone photos. But sometimes those are the best moments captured.
Life is flying by so quickly, it’ scary. I love the photos, Cherry loves helping Tiger walk and he loves being the same as her on his feet. It’s amazing! x
Oh thanks hunny. I know I think the sibling dynamics change when they both are at the same levels. Great to watch.
Toddler tantrums and baby screaming are all part of the norm with having children. But sweet moments like the one you have captured are magical and so beautiful to see x
Thanks Katy. Couldn’t agree more! I have plenty of sibling myself so I know what I have to look forward to but never imagined seeing them so loving would melt my heart so much.
Awwww such a sweet post ! I expect you are expected to plat ring around the roses plenty of times a week ha ha ! #sharewithme
Yes so true. Glad it’s one of my favorites! Lol
This is lovely Jenny. I obviously only have 1 bub in the house but the moments of laughter and deep belly giggles warm my heart just as you say here. Lovely post #sharewithme
Thanks Sian, laughter I think is the best medicine!! I love laughing it always makes me so happy and positive and when I hear my kids doing it together it’s even more precious.
Aw, such a sweet photo lovely. I love reading about your two as they are so close in age to mine. How exciting that Missy Moo is nearly walking. And I know what you mean about the older sibling being fascinated by acheivements. We have the same at our place. so so so cute! xx
Oh yes Buba really is so fascinated that his sister has new skills each week. lol Bless him. A bit confused too. They are fun to watch together.
Jenny, they are adorable! Look at the determined little face walking like a big girl 🙂 how exciting that you’re off on a big trip home xx
Thank you I really can’t wait to be home!!!
Oh how lovely and you have captured some beautiful photos and precious moments. xx
Thank you. I am a beginner but trying to learn to take better photos, better angles and lighting. Hard when you have two moving targest in opposite directions. lol
aww such nice photos. I love natural photos like this. just playing and having fun. #ShareWithMe
Thanks Michelle, can’t beat a good moment captured can you? lol Thank goodness for iphones!
So sweet and they grow up so quickly! Lovely post #sharewithme
Thanks Vicky. They really do. I can’t believe it.
I love family life warts ‘n’ all! x #ShareWithMe
hahha Good way to put it. lol
The sound of children laughing- especially children together, is one of the best in the world! So glad you were able to snatch the pics.
#sharewithme
Thanks. It was an adorable to capture. Just wish the hallway had more light. They were a bit grainy. But you can still see their big smiles.
awww such a sweet post and so nice that he is trying to help his little sister. You are going to have an amazing time in America. I bet the time flies by though xx
Thank you Michelle, I know I can’t wait to see all my family and friends and watch the kids play all the places I used to play as a kid too.
Missy Moo almost walking, how did that happen already? Can’t believe they’re both growing up so fast!
Have a fabulous holiday Jenny, can’t wait to read all about it.
Thanks Izzie. I know I can’t wait to blog all about it and share with everyone the wonderful place I grew up!
it’s brilliant that they get on so well, i unfortunately dont remember much from my childhood no surprise as its 8 year gap between me and my sister
Oh bless you. I know how that is with some of my siblings are 12 and 14 years older than me but I do have one brother that is close in age and it was always nice to share memories with. I love watching my two do the same.
Ah Jenny, you’re so right, it’s such a lovely sound to hear your children laughing and you’re not sure why – impossible not to sneak a peek. Your trip sounds awesome! I am very jealous! Looking forward to seeing you next week!! Jess xx
EEek next week! It has come so quick. Can’t wait to meet you too. I am very excited for our upcoming trip. Can’t wait to show my kids where I grew up and have them play in the places I did as a kid.
I love seeing your photos on Instagram, and it’s wonderful that they are having a good time as siblings!
Thank you Tarana. It’s so fun and a great privilege to get to watch them grow up together.
How sweet that Bubba should be helping Missy Moo take her first steps. Watching my children love & teach each other so much is one of my favourite things about being a mum. x Mel
It really is a great thing to be able to watch them learn and grow together but also to love and help each other. Great mommy moment indeed! Thanks Mel.
Such a sweet post J, & as i said earlier in the week on IG, those pictures are just too cute. You have such a beautiful, happy family! 🙂 Hugs…Oh I can wait to give you a real life Squeeze next week!! XX
Eeek me too. Can’t believe how fast it has come along too! I am really looking forward to it. Thank you so much Katrina that is so sweet!
Such lovely photo’s of the two together x
Thank you Fiona. So sweet of you to say.
There is nothing I like more than listening to Lil G laugh. It really does lift you and give you that beautiful warm feeling inside. #ShareWithMe
I think so too. If I am having a bad day, the kids laughing is easily the best medicine!!
Aww looks like they were having a lot of fun and it’s so lovely when they start walking isn’t it! xx #sharewithme
Yes and no. Need to baby proof the house more. I never did it as Buba wasn’t an explorer but this one. Completely. lol but I am excited. Off to clarks Sunday to get her first shoes!
You’re so right Jenny and a blog is the perfect way to savour those precious moments between siblings. And my word, where did you get her gorgeous little outfit?! Too cute 🙂 x
Thanks hunny. You are so sweet. It’s ted baker! I love this seasons patterns on her.
Lovely post, beautifully written and very true. 2 months in America, you are so lucky! #sharewithme
Thank you Denise. I can’t wait to see my homeland and be home with family with my own family.
Oh bless them! Mine are a similar gap as you know but a little older. We often have the disagreements over toys. And it’s worse now the boy shouts “MINE!” at the top of his lungs. I love to see them play with Daddy’s. They are so vital. And jel of USA!!!! xxx
I love the whole that’s MINE no it’s MINE. I alawys say to them both it’s everyone’s. Nothing is only YOURS!!! lol Then it back fires when I tell them it’s Mommy’s. hahahahaha
Oh yes, we have a lot of sibling bickering! They are lovely with each other, but goodness they know how to fight 🙂
Oh yes I know this all too well. I have a huge family full of bickering all the time still to this day but we are all still inseparable too.
It’s funny when you realise you’ve gone from having one child and a baby to two children. Your daughter will probably be bossing her brother about all over the place before you know it. He will probably love it though!
I know I was just thinking that the other day, I have no more baby it’s two toddlers NOW!!! Cross your fingers for me. hahahah
Wow Jenny, I think the moment they first stand up is the one when it really seems like they have grown up overnight! Glad to hear I’m not the only one with ‘normal’ (special) children! They are about to have the holiday of their lives aren’t they?! What an awesome summer hon! X
I know. That’s how I feel. Like she has aged too much in just a week. Almost like I made it happen because we had her bday early. hahaha It’s off now. It won’t be long before she figures it out.
Can’t beat natural photos – I think it’s lovely being able to capture a true moment. You can tell he’s really happy by her new skill! Also nothing can beat your child/rens laughter #ShareWithMe
Just wish the house had more light so they weren’t always grainy. but it still captured the moment and that’s all that really matters you are so right.
Lovely pictures these ones are the best aren’t they! xx
Thanks Tracey. I completely agree. I am glad I thought to grab my phone before I peaked.
My eldest has just been on a 1 week school trip, the youngest only grudgingly admitted that he missed her. Couldn’t wait to play when she got back though (well, until they started bickering).
Ahh sibling pickering I love it!!! I have seven siblings so I know this all too well.
Aw how exciting for her to be finding her feet, this must feel like such a major change and suddenly like she’s growing up! It’s so sweet she has her big brother to guide her along the way, they look like they have a very special bond xx
I am so excited yet so sad as she is my last baby and it is all passing by too fast.
What a lovely moment to capture, so sweet xx
Thanks hun, thank goodness for the iphone to whip out to capture these great moments that would otherwise be forgotten.
I love those moments when you hear laughter (and commotion!) and you just HAVE to see what’s happening. It’s those moments when it doesn’t matter and what you were doing will wait. Because moments like these in your post are truly precious and will wait for no one. And neither should they x
Thank you for your lovely comment. So true. Life really does pass us all by too quickly.
What a sweet moment this is!! I love the idea of bubba being so fascinated with missy moos development, such a proud big brother!!! Xx
He really is. Every time there is something knew he has to brag to every stranger he sees about it too. Hilarious.
They look so happy! Great to see 🙂
Thank you!
Oh bless them – they do look so cute together but I know just what you mean about the normal sibling balance of adoration and frustration!! It’s going to be amazing the changes you’ll see over the next few weeks and months as she finds her feet!
Amazing or exhausting too hahaha two toddlers now and only two hands. I bet they will run opposite directions.
Bless Missy Moo! She will soon be off and then there will be no stopping her. It sounds like they have a lovely relationship x
Thanks they really do. And i don’t know what I will do when she is off. Two toddlers now. how did this happen?
This is a really sweet post! Makes me want to have kids! Love to see stuff like this. Thanks for sharing!
Ah, I love that stage where they are not quite walking but SO determined!
Such beautiful photos too 🙂
They look so happy and loving together, it is lovely. I hope you all have a great summer break #sharewithme
Thank you so much. I am so excited but so much to do before we leave.
An honest picture of real life, sibling love & struggles <3
