Taco Beef Pie

TAco filling in a pastry crust topped with crunchy taco pieces

Ingredients

  • 1 9- inch pie shell
  • 1 pound ground minced beef
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cup salsa divided
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 cup shredded cheese of your choice I used pepper jack cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup crumbled plain Doritos
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1 cup black beans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Bake pie shell according to instructions
  3. Saute beef until browned, drain and stir in taco seasoning according to pkg
  4. Stir in 1/2 cup salsa
  5. In a bowl, mix remaining 1 cup salsa and sour cream until blended
  6. Mix in corn and black beans

To Assemble

  1. Spread 1 cup cooked taco meat in the pie shell.
  2. Add 1 cup salsa/sour cream mixture
  3. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cup cheese
  4. Add remaining meat
  5. Add remaining salsa/sour cream mixture
  6. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cup cheese
  7. Top with crumbled plain Doritos
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown
  9. Oven times may vary.

Recipe Notes

Add hot sauce on top to really heat it up before serving
